This album is a tribute to son jarocho and Jarana. I remember the day I met this instrument: the sound of "Los Juiles" sounded, the stage shook the ground. My amazement was such that I fell in love with this music from that moment. The magic that embraces the sound and its centennial legacy are a free and alive song.
In Jarana Ways I explore with the characteristics and identity sounds of the jarana and the requinto within the language and harmonic elements of jazz. This is the first album in which the jarana occupies a leading role in this contemporary musical expression and, in turn, both contrast in a peaceful way with the rhythms and colors of current urban trends.

Este disco es un homenaje al son jarocho y a la Jarana. Recuerdo el día que conocí este instrumento: sonaba el son de “Los Juiles”, la tarima estremecía el suelo. Mi asombro fue tal que quedé prendado de esta música desde aquel momento. La magia que abraza al son y su legado centenario son un canto libre y vivo.
En Jarana Ways exploro con los rasgos y sonidos identitarios de la jarana y el requinto dentro del lenguaje y los elementos armónicos del jazz. Se trata del primer disco en el cual la jarana ocupa un lugar protagonista en esta expresión musical contemporánea y, a su vez, ambos contrastan de forma apacible con los ritmos y colores de tendencias urbanas actuales.
